A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?

wee... the long awaited kushinbo! waited for ps til evening when we go eat the dinner buffet. Its more ex but we got no choice. coz ps hv to work. its 40++ pax. haiz... its really ex. think i can get better food with that kinda money. but it was yummy still.
all 3 kinds of cold noodles. udon, soba and cha soba!
clammy pasta, not bad.
all the cooked food. nice! liked the fried prawn, the fish with sauce, teriyaki chicken ++
seafood soup! wow wee! nice, but too greedy, end up burn my tongue abit while savouring the soup. wee...
steamed egg. nice!!!!
sushi time!the clam doesnt taste as gd though. nvr try the sushi much for mi. mostly is ps-ed. sashimi! but not that great. coz the place not that cold, and the sashimi hv been put there for awhile. aww....
misc stuff. the tomato salad was nice! mayoniese crab meat was not bad, the potatoe salad was eggy, not not bad as well. lol
trying the crabby... nice!!!!!!!!!!!
dessert, eclair plus choco puff plus 3 flavours of mousse, choco, mango and pink guava. its nice!!!!!
second round of sashimi, fresher this time coz they just refilled the plate, but not cold enough still. plus sweet sweet crabby! yummy!!!!

assorted oden plus soup, veggy but yummy. had 2 bowls. lol~
had 3 cup of jasmine tea to soothe the digestion

Night Cycling + Supper

gathering with army pals after so long. right after ict as well. we went vivo catch a movie first, Transformers! then we went east coast to rent our bikes to go on our supper cycling trip!
first stop, ice cream chef

4th rest stop, went to kallang bridge to rest. everyone's tired out, just lying along the bridge regardless of whether any people going to cross anot. lol

went for a food trip to holland v again. this time we end up trying yoshimaru, a jap ramen shop. but the funny thing is its managed by jumbo seafood.... whats the link,i dont know. lol~

for dessert first up is apple crumble! not bad, realli. not bad at all. plus the serving is huge.
2nd up, rainbow cheesecake. lol 4 diff flavours of 5 cups of cheesecake. got lemon, green tea, strawberry and oreo. but honestly speaking, its so so onli. dont think i will order again next time.

went to siamkitchen coz its raining out, so stuck inside shopping centre and siam kitchen is empty, no need queue. lol
forgot the name, something like chao dong fen with crushed peanuts not bad, but serving is pathetic. not even half filled with it
the name looks nice, but turn out to be seafood horfun lor. nothing special.

becoz of the not filling dinner, ended up going sakurano fish mart, i think thats the name lol...

had a veg meal for dinner at loving house. forget whats the name of the dish le. looks like a soupy viet dish. not bad. but nothing special though.

and supposedly after a healthy meal, i end up with a sinful dessert. fried mars balls. imagine the caramel and the chocolate inside of the mars bar, fried to make the inside much more tastier and melts in the mouth, accompanied by chocolate ice cream and chocolate syrup. aint that sinful. lol~

saw a super tasty site on the net, so went to tried that out. its hard to find coz its at a neighbourhood area at yishun which is way way north and i'm unfaniliar with that area. So i got me a glutton guide there. But due to several reasons, theres no pic of the guide. Pics were confiscated. haiz... oh well, but still thanks alot for the trip there.

been to benten cafe for several meals n i liked their food there. simple and nice. not really ex and the food is just nice, it just suits me i guess. yummy! =)

been half over my exam period. 3 papers gone by now, still got 2 more going on. by now alot of my friends are long gone from school and hall enjoying theirs hols. some even ARE going overseas for the whole of the 3 months hols. blissful people. cant complain much. everyone got their own life to live. n i'm one that could bother less with whats happening if it doesnt concern me that much. maybe coz its just too stressful during this time of the year. my body clock is already way way blinded! can differentiate day from night. sleep short naps from time to time and waking up in the middle of the night just to stay fully awake till rise n shine. ++ the isolation during this period to concentrate in whatever way i can.... can hardly be called normal. hope the remaining 2 will be over as soon as possible. n hope i can spend my hols well. dont waste it. else got no more. going into my last year in uni~. then its work work n work. XP

Waraku Trip

Waraku dining at central. Was a nice experience, but end up being overly full. yet, its nothing compared to a certain auntie... trained from young from a family of big eaters, think they can eat servings for 5 per pax. Astounished by the auntie 讲故事时间! a very typical aspect of aunties. lol....

(on a side note, no photos of the gourmet auntie coz another characteristic of aunties is they dont like taking photos, unless got benefits =P)

ahh... forgot the name of this dish, but it taste nice, with cabbage fillings inside accompanied by the omelette and the sauce.

not good with remembering names.... memories failing me...... this is nice! potatoe topped with a layer of cheeze. yummy! a pity i couldnt finish it coz too full....
my main course, the champon udon! yay! finally something i remembered. inclusive of seafood and pork etc etc. not bad, just never notice the temperature of the soup, end up eating some cabbage that nearly 'burn' my tongue literally.
macha float was it? so-so.... bleh~

plus whats that...... ebi maki? and ginger ale? no photos provided. finished before i remembered to take photo.
oh oh oh. passby a shop while going to buy some italian desserts. reminds me of my cousin. forever wearing the big john shirt. Think he got all the colours available with the same design. lol... its like morning he wears a grey 'big john', then after bathing in the evening he just changed to yet another green 'big john'. its like magic show etc. the shirt dont change but the colour change. lol... anyway, back to the walk, its like a tourage of eateries. never knew theres so much nice food around the area. Shall go there try all of it one by one when hv the time. wahahaa.... holiday season equals food fest tourage around singapore. just hope i dont get fat =P

Back on Track! currently got tons of things listing down my timetable for the weeks to come. Feeling fully occupied! Tedious yet fruitful! Although its kinda busy, but i like this kinda life with activities filled to the brim, makes you feel life is worthwhile rather than wasting it away. Coming tml will be a presentation on 3011, been preparing the slides and sketches and specs etc for the past few days... then got another lab project dueing next week. supposed to finish by next monday! and after which will be the CAs following up concurrently... busy busy busy! especially since lectures and tutorials have been on all these times as well. Having a hard time catching up. Still stuck at week 2 lecture only. how........ following the CAs will be another hall 12 event, Local Expedition, which i'm involved as part of the main comm. and the list goes on non stop...... Busy yet Enjoyable! =)

Yet Another Cycle Gone By....

it was fast when we always look back at what we've gone through. for this time, it was a long time indeed. For the majority, the last outing or the last time we've seen each other was like one decade ago, or 12 years to be exact. Yes, it was primary school gathering. Dont ask me why or what, the meeting was sudden in my point of view. it started with a sms from one of them that i was still in contact with, then a facebk discussion started just like that.... and in less than a week, the people gathered and more than 10 of the people turned up. It was nice how some of the people, or should i say old classmates was enthu abt the outing. Some people changed, some don't. it was a well blend of people in all aspect of society. we started on the same point, but we branch out to different paths laid infront of us. Most of them ended up working now, but there are still some still studying.... like me! =) itchy fingers number 1. keep taking photos non stop.

a setback is but a back step in our life

just got back my ia results afew days back... aint the best of result, but i dare say its among the worst possible. it greatly pulled my gpa down by alot. not that i nvr put in effort for it, just blame it on luck that my supervisor sucks. it just mark me down and my tutor aint one that showed mercy at saving me either, she just followed the words of my sup instead of mine. yet another bo bian. company, i can choose, but tutor i cant choose, supervisor, i cant choose. well, the only thing it reminded me is that when finding a job, find one that is filled with all the nice and friendly co workers instead of task orientated, meaning got results, u r good, even at the effort of others or whatever the reason. it sucks getting results that aint equal to the effort put in. tried finding ways to get me back my well deserved score, but it was to no avail. details, i shall not bother much. just hope i can get over with it soon enough.

Festive Season

past few days were the festive season where i celebrate christmas with fellow friends. 23rd went out with sec friends at central. long queues everywhere so ended up at tcc with empty seats everywhere. lol. 24th went jy hse celebrate christmas, but its more of a gathering style with snacks n such. but in the mood of christmas, had a logcake (complements from jy's family) =). had a long talk instead. feels good to hv discussions like this. 25th went out with ps. went to ps. enjoyed the food, the place the companionship. =) still waiting for the photos. will be finding time to get the photos then upload to post......

Stan Chart 42km 08'

finished standard chartered marathon 42.195km yesterday. won't say it was as difficult as it was last year. though dont know why. went for the run after half a year of sitting in office doing nothing. no exercise or even much walking either. but still finished it in the end. it was a sight to behold seeing people with the passion to run. some even had other aims in mind while doing the run. saw one trek while dragging a tyre, a visually impaired running while being guided by afew pacers, one runner cum photographer while find moments to snap pictures even while running 42km. running alone was tiring, wonder how they manage to do all those with a smile on their face still. oh well, at least its over now. timing was abit worse than last years', but was glad still can get a timing of around 5 and a half hours. good try!

Kangaroo
Word myths often come with great stories, such as this one: When Captain Cook traveled to Australia a few hundred years ago, he saw funny looking animals jumping around and asked the Aborigines what the animal was called. He heard what sounded like "kangaroo." He later
asked another group of Aborigines and heard "kangaroo" once again. So, he named the animal the kangaroo. Later on, other settlers discovered that "kangaroo" actually meant "I don't understand you." So, the Aborigines were not giving the name of the animal; they were actually

You certainly use this term all the time, but do you have any idea what it stands for? The most common theories are that it stands for "Oll Korrect," where President Andrew Jackson was a bad speller and would abbreviate "All Correct" on papers as OK, thinking it was spelled that way. The "F" word is one of the most useful words in the English language and it also has one of the most commonly mistaken origins. Many people think that in old England, in order to control population growth, the king issued an order that required couples to have his permission to
fornicate. Once a couple received permission, they would hang a sign on their door with the letters F.U.C.K., which was an acronym for "Fornication Under Consent of the King," then they would go at it. This is completely false, as people never had to get permission from the king to have sex.
Another theory is that criminals convicted of sexual crimes were forced to wear signs on their clothing with the letters F.U.C.K., which was an acronym for "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge." went for a dinner at brotzeit, a german restaurant/ bier bar for a gathering with lvl 7s and for nic's bday as well. first time going a german makan place. For a start, beer is a must. Since its Oktoberfest, we join in the spirit as well. ordered a half pine of oktober beer straight from germany. Hope i spell it correctly... its 0.5 litres a mug. taste nice. =) seriously its alot better than local beer. if you think beer dont taste nice coz you've tried tiger or other beers, try this! the food is nice and the so is the beer! =) first mug for the day. super smooth and nice =)

next up, danny end up ordering 1 pine = 1 litre. lol... as compared, my 0.5 litres looks so little. but seriously its not.

now for the main courses. dennis ordered thinking it was a meaty dish, it ended up being 'grassy' lol! (for your info, the menu is in german + the description cant tell you much)

i shared the fried platter and another dish with danny and junjie for the night. saucy! 3 kinds for the fried stuffs. still not sure what the third sauce is...

now for the main focus for the night, a must for german = PORK KNUCKLES! superb! =) nice! crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. plus the knuckle was really big. nice....

last off, before we end the meal, adrian ordered a 3 litre for everyone to share. Although its shared, its no easy feat to finish it off. lol 3 litres IS alot.

the event ended with satisfied smiles on everyone's face. it was a great meal. abit pricey, but everyone was satisfied! =)

Been there, done that. its my third AHM in a roll after i ORDed from the army. doneED! yet aother 21km. somehow i dont know why i keep doing things lidat. Whenever its time to register forfuns, i just do it without thinking, then when its time to run, i end up having all those negative thoughts on my mind asking me why did i do such a thing, making myself suffer like that. In th end, i did finish, got that sense of fulfillment, but not so as i did the first time round. think more or less getting used to it all. Somethings to point up on this year's AHM. The shirt is great as compared to the last 3 years, but the route was the worst comparatively as well. improvement in design but lacks in planning. Why must you all plan a route which is filled with mud and soil and uneven grounds... do you think the route is too plain and simple and not much of a challenge for us? must you make it more challenging by building uneven tar roads with muddy soil at the sides and water puddles. whatever. on a side note, got slightly choked by a banana they give out along the race. stupid me! haiz... Runs for this year... finished salcony passion run, mizuno run, ahm, coming up are nike run, kpe n standchart to end the list.....

After the run, went to suntec to relax ourselves for awhile. its the first time i found out got this lunch buffet at nett price 12.80 for main course got porridge and kuay chap, then you can get as many side dish as you want, be it egg, veg, meat fish whatever, dont know what to say, but the food's not bad considered the price, at suntec somemore. below is just one of the many servings i ate that day. stupid day doesnt end with just the nice lunch. need to go collect nike run race pack after that, which make me super tired and super mad. got super long queue of 3+ hrs before i can get to the counter. no place to sit, long queue, raining somemore, then some part of the queue super stuffy, plus super tired after the ahm in the morning... What could be worse... Luckily i didnt go there alone. got afew friends there to go with me after ending ahm, else i'll die of boredom.
P.S. thanks for being there to make my day =)

u know u know u know u know!!!! i'm always being locked up in NTU, always so busy with stuff here and there that its been soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long since i've been out there. today after so long has it been finally that i went bugis with my army buds coz we need to sew our uniform at beach road. the bugis now looks sooooo different from when i last went, which is like..... erm........ more than half a year ago? omgomgomgomgomg....... so sua ku.....!!!!! then, we went orchard for dinner at the HK cha chan ting and the OMG went even further emphasized. lol.... orchard is even worse! its like more than a year since i last went there... or so i remembered. lolololol......! after chilling out and chit chatting while having dinner there, we went on our seperate ways back to our home sweet home. so i end up going to the MRT station alone. I thought is was still roughly the same n went the usual way to the MRT. however.......... i lost my way..... for.... half an hour........... the entrance was only later found at ??? which i nvr see b4. further............................s. lol... i need a guide. =P

Oh No! All my contacts in my hp had been gone since my hp spoilt during sometime in jan this year, so i sent it for repair, and borrowed one from my friend meanwhile. Its nice of my friend to lent me his old hp, but i never really add MY friend's contact there as it would mix with his friends and that wouldnt be nice and all. Then recently, the hp was returned being it not repaired! wahhh!!!! there goes all my contacts. And, to makes matters worse, My MSN kena some sorta virus 2 weeks back. the clock just passed 12 and its less than 24 hrs before i will be having my first paper on the 15th april and here i am still struggling with my first paper.don't really know what to study when its 'open book'. From what i experienced in my last 'open book' exam, the results always end up being worse instead... plus, its not only working but more drawings as well when the time allocated is already not enough. n whas more to come there will be yet another paper on the same day followed by 2 more coming my way on 17th april. 4 papers within 3 days with 1 day break inbetween. *faints*

Erm... i also dont know how to start the post. I just received a msg asking me to collect the certificate from MAE club and i though it was some 'thank you for participation card so i replied to collect from the MAE rep on last wed just to lessen his burden. And when i collect from him then, he passed me 3 items, the Appreciation cert as expected, but what i didnt expect was the 2 other items - the MAE colours award cert and the medal for being 2nd in interschool frisbee competition. I missed the MAE appreciation ceremony before, so didnt really expect something like that. Oh well, it serve as sort of a bonus to me. HAPPY! haha... Oh yah, not forgetting i got another colours award from hall 12 appreciation night. COLOURS EVERYWHERE~!

the past 2 weeks have been super busy busy busy! For the past 2 weeks, everyday have been a longggg day. I only get to sleep at 3am the earliest. then next morning got lesson at 830 again... then night time got allll the non academic activities coming up. like FOC flower wrapping for canvassing, spectrum training, paddlephilia meetings for overseas kayaking trip, vday delivering formal lab report due, stock up on logistics at beach road, settle goodie bags, Hall 12 day, FOC meeting updates, Atlantis civ meetings and selling of civ shirts, not to forgetting preparation for HP801 quiz, fluid quiz, kinematics quiz, all the tutorials, and lastly the actual endau rompin trip itself into the deep forested area kayak and trek enjoy some outdoor life! Ahhhhh!!!!! Later i'll be setting off for the actual trip itself, but i'm injured before i went. got my toe bruised, pain... then my back also got whacked! dies....

After so long, alvin finally left us for long to study at australia. Since early last year, he's been saying he'll be going to study overseas. Aljunied New Year Performance

Its a post way overdue.... Went for a performance to celebrate the coming of 2008 on 30th dec 07. It was hold just outside Hougang mall. think it should be quite a huge event with the space catered for all the audience. The event was organised by aljunied GRC. Posters were all over hougang mall with ministers coming and with bryan wong and his mum as the MC and performers like the 881 actresses, the Campus Superstars, Spectrum Cheerleaders, baby wushu-ers, some hip-hop dancers etc... We need to wait for quite awhile when we're backstage, so we ended up take pics with some of the others performers. =) prep b4 the perf

Surprised Visit

When i got back to my room, found something lying on my bed... WHATS THAT!? On a closer look, it seems somewhat familiar.... mmm.... AH! It belongs to one of my friend's! Quite surprised 'it' was left to accompany me!

In order to show that he's smart just like his owner, he put on his specs and hold on to a bulb showing he's full of ideas!

He even attempted to use the computer while i went to bathe!

When i try to stop him, he even crawl on top of me!

Finally, i was super tired and went sleeping. Thanks to him accompanying me, it warms the heart alot during the night! I had a pleasant night's rest because of him.

When i wake up the next morning, he was already awake dressed in my clothes. Can see the hall 12 symbol he's wearing. haha.... But i'm really happy he was there! THANKS ALOT!

Standard Chartered 42km

wohoo~! finished 42km. seriously having a hard time finishing it though! coz i dont really have the time to train myself for the run. its straight 2 days after my last paper, so just did a warm up 5km run n off i went to the stand chart. i seriously think why did i go sign up for it when i'm not the least prepared (as i dont even have the time to prepare...)

Halfway along i can feel my heartbeat pump up to 200+++ per minute with more than 3 beat per sec. ahhh.... nearly cannot take it. In the end, walking is also a problem. The sole is like pain pain n more PAIN!!!!!!! But in the end, i finished it! And i feel proud of it!

And the good thing is i can still walk straight after the race. When i sit at the ending point waiting for my friends, i saw that for every 2 racer that came in, 1 is limping, and i meant seriously limping!

All i can say is the race is hard. And all of you have done yourself proud to finish it irregardless of the timing. I do hope you all have not overstrain yourselves and ended up causing an injury for life. Motivation is one thing, Knowing your limit is another thing. Cheers for all that put in effort!

As for my own timing, i shall keep that to myself. Haha... its not something that is worth sharing. =P

Morning Call?

now is the exam period, and every night is mugging night till 3, 4 plus am or sometime even 5, 6 am. so the next morning, i always end up waking up in the afternoon at 2 plus etc. As some of the papers are in the morning, i'm trying hard to adjust my sleeping hours back to normal, so i started sleeping at 3 am yesterday night. This morning, some'one' even give me a morning call! its thanks to the kind beetle that keep crawling on my fingers early morning that waked me up! i thought what is it that is making my fingers itchy..... These are the kinda things you cant do without when you place is near forested areas. I think someone would really agree with me on that point. No matter how clean your place is, insects will still invade it from time to time. The forest just isnt enough for them. Although i appreciate the effort the beetle put in to wake me up. I really hope this would be the first and last time that would happen. Although beetles arent evil or disturbing or anything. It just doesnt feel good having an insect crawling on you in the early morning, even if its just on one finger!

New Supper In the Block!

since long ago, supper in NTU hostel has been a limitation for its residents. So, we end up going to the regular spots for supper which are around boon lay area. Just recently, delivery service have just surfaced catering to NTU students! First, it was a stall naming uncle zichar which even have a blog called unclezichar.blogspot.com. Then, the new thing in the block arise with imperial ba kuteh. Wow! The name sure presents well. wonder how the food will turn out. they named it imperialbkt.blogspot.com. Tried their zhu zha tang while my friend ordered to try. I wouldnt say its not nice, just kinda weird. lol. they use the bakuteh soup base for all their soup. lol... still warms the stomach late at night though. One last thing. they deliver the order in Mercedes-Benz! Imagine how much they earn from us then.

A Simple Meal

A simple meal can be a yummy one too! when you're staying in hall, and staying over the weekend, you'll end up ooking a simple meal with a group of friends. its like a short break from the usual packed timetable. Plus, its always good to take a break from the usual canteen food which looks the same every time. yummy grilled chicken thighs!!!

it maybe just noodles, but you'll never know how yummy it can be! heard of 黯然销魂饭 in 食神? this is the NOODLE version!

got soup, got noodle, got rice, got veggy, got meat! a widespread of variety! but can see half a plate of chicken nuggets gone coz of hoggers' hands! lol...

A first-grade teacher, Ms Neelam (Age 28) was having trouble with one of her students

The teacher asked, "Boy. What is your problem?"

Boy. Answered, "I'm too smart for the first-grade. My brother is in the third-grade and I'm smarter than he is! I think I should be in the Third-grade too!

Ms Neelam had enough. She took Boy to the principal's office.

While Boy waited in the outer office, the teacher explained to the Principal what the situation was. The principal told Ms Neelam he would Give the boy a test and if he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the first-grade and behave. She agreed.

Boy was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test.

Principal: "What is 3 x 3?"

Boy: "9".

Principal: "What is 6 x 6?"

Boy: "36".

And so it went with every question the principal thought a third-grade should know. The principal looks at Ms Neelam and tells her, "I think this Boy can go to the third-grade

Ms Neelam says to the principal, "I have some of my own questions.

Can I ask him?" The principal and Boy both agree.

Ms Neelam asks, "What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?

Boy, after a moment "Legs."

Ms Neelam: "What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?"

Boy: "Pockets."
