Bang Bang!!

This saturday.... 191105... Not in orchard, not at home, at range thats where i am... Haizz, 4 plus in the morning, i need to wake up to get prepared for poyang range. the indo army are trying out our weapons n us trying out theirs. Mmm... a new experience, but at the expense of a saturday being burned. Actually the whole day is like 'what the hack'... most of their soldiers dont know how to speak english n us vice versa.... so we end up using hand signs here n there. in the end, everything still ended up smoothly. they tried our sar21 n were amazed by it. 'wow...' they said. 'bang bang bang', they could shoot headshots if they use our weapon in their missions... we tried their weapons too. compact, small, versatile, light-weight. Well, each got their pros n cons. We chat with their english-educated officers n now is our turn to say 'wow'. They said their best soldier could ran 4 km in 10 mins.... unbelievable right, but we couldnt really verify that!? Maybe, that may be true afterall, or maybe he is davidised! Maybe...just maybe.....

Ride the waves

i went windsurfing for the whole of yesterday. when i first get on the board, it was hard to get on, i feel very wobbly and my feets were shaking, but the others that went with me for the first time wasnt much better. They keep falling into the waters and get up again. The good thing is there wasnt much wind that day, so we were able to grasp the correct stance on the board quite fast. But on the other hand, the still waters and calm weather cause us not to have that much fun as the board couldnt move as much. Its the first time we came across the terms such as rig, mast, tacking, gybing..... It was a fun day throughout and a tiring one too. It drainned us of all our energy to do any other physical demanding stuff for the rest of the day. I'm gladed imade the right choice to learn windsurfing, it was fun and i hope one day i would ride the waves and and knock everyone i know into the waters.... wahahah...... Today on a bus I saw a lovely girl with golden hairI envied her, she seemed so gay and wished I was as fairBut suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle,She had one leg and wore a crutch but as she passes, a smile.

Later a while, walking down the street, I saw a child with eyes of blue,He stood and watch the others play, he did not know what to do.I stopped a moment and then I said: Why don't you join the others,dear? He looked ahead without a word and then I knew he couldn't hear.

Break Free!

26th October this day....

This day, i failed my SOC test......... i got the worst timing throughout my NS life............. Am i so weak until i'm worse than when i was in BMT? I was devastated that morning, but after that SOC, i'm determined to strive even harder for the future SOCs to come!!! I MEANT IT!!!

Later that day, my platoon had a platoon cohesion! We rent a bus from camp n our first stop was victor's bowl at marina. Dont know why, but our platoon cohesion was joined by OC n his team of CHQ personels. OC even prepared his own bowling ball n wrist guard. Think he's well prepared for a high game... MAYBE!? We spent our afternoon there n our dinner is at........... zhengfa steamboat buffet!!! not the best place to be at after eating it quite often, but it was within our budget at least.

Our last program is movie time! Majority voted for Zorro from the few choices available n in we go to the cinema. As expected, the movie started with fanciful stunts n unrealistic heroic acts by zorro n ........(dnt wanna spoilt the fun for those who havnt watch the movie yet) The movie is not bad, but the storyline is too typical. With that, we ended the movie n thus the cohesion day.

my grievance

forget about the 'testing post', i think my first post shd be one about me! Especially my grievance!!! This post may seem like crap to some of you since you see me almost everyday but i hope you all do treasure the effort i put in it by typing out this post rather than scolding me stupid tecky as such while reading it. my name's chin teck, but i dont mind people calling me tecky cause its easier to remember n it sounds more friendly that way, but since dont know when, people in camp start to call me fairy!? At first, they say it was because i do things very blur, thus the fairy look. But recently, they start branding me as 'outcast' no matter what i do. Everytime i say or do some mistake, they would say 'oh! its a fairy thing' we wouldnt understand one! Me......... what can i say...... its a whole platoon against ME!
